If you were suffering and needed safe shelter at 2am,
where would you turn?
The Ottawa Mission is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
BUT WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOUR HELP
The Ottawa Mission’s doors are open 24/7, 365 days a year providing food, shelter and vital services to hungry, homeless and hurting people in search of a better life.
Every year we serve over 477,000 meals to the hungry and provide safe shelter to 1,900 people. In addition, we help hundreds more through on-site medical and dental clinics, mental health services, 24 hour care for terminally ill people at our hospice, residential addiction treatment, education & job training programs, and support to help people find safe and affordable housing.
It will cost about $9.7M this year to keep our doors open to provide basic necessities and life-changing programs to the homeless and poor.
The City of Ottawa does help – it provides a set amount of funding for each person who stays in our shelter; but that is not enough, not even by half, to fund our annual operations and programming.
The truth is we need $6,850,000 in donations this year from caring individuals, corporations and foundations to care for the hungry, homeless and hurting in Ottawa.
EVERY DONOR MAKES A DIFFERENCE.
